The Warren Mott Counseling Team is kicking off a healthy lifestyle initiative. Be developing positive life habits, students will be better prepared for overcoming difficulties, and for overall success in school and life.
5 key life habits that lead to success (START)
(S) Sleep - students should be getting a minimum of 8 hours of sleep each night
(T) Turn Off - students should limit recreational screen time on electronic devices to fewer than 2 hours per day
(A) Be Active - students should get 1 hour or more of physical activity daily or 20 minutes of vigorous activity at least 3 times weekly
(R) Read - students should take time daily to read, review notes, study, and complete homework
(T) Take Control - students should focus on those factors in life that are within their control instead of dwelling on things that they cannot change
